Pastor Kevin McLouth (New Leipzig Baptist, ND) cooperated with area churches for a joint Easter service. “I would call it the celebration of one body,” says Kevin.

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts from one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body–whether Jew or Greek, slave or free–and were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

The seven churches that make up the Grant County (ND) ministerium wanted to do something that would draw people out, while also giving hope and encouragement to the communities. So they came up with a live drive-in radio broadcast in conjunction with a Facebook live broadcast.

The radio station out of Lemmon, SD, was contacted. The order of service was printed in the local newspaper, along with hymns and responsive readings. Several pastors participated in the joint service. “We invited people to gather in their local church parking lots and honk their horns during the service each time they heard, ‘He is risen. He is risen, indeed!’”

Pastor Kevin comments, “The community was encouraged from hearing the service with all the pastors in this time of crisis. People saw Christ in action.”
