He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by or in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. He might be first. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. Paul’s words in Colossians chapter one, verses 15 through 20. It’s not nations or a team that’s first. It’s Jesus. Jesus is the one who is the very fullness of God, the image of God, the one who reconciles to himself all things. As we conclude 2025 and begin 2026, I want to thank you for your support of your pastors and lay leadership of your church. As you work together, as you serve together, as you pray, together, as you give together, supporting the ministries that are important to you, living out the good News of Jesus that he is number one. That he is the one who reconciles to himself by the blood of his cross, all things. How is that being lived out in your life, in your relationships? Thank you for praying for me. My name is Randy Jaspers. I have the privilege of being able to serve alongside our Manitoba Baptists and North Central Association churches. God bless you.
