Moosehorn Baptist Church in Moosehorn MB is seeking to fill the position of full-time pastor to shepherd our congregation of roughly 50 people; with roughly half being toddlers to teenager. Moosehorn is a small community just over 2 hours north of Winnipeg in the Interlake region.The area is great for out door activities including camping, hunting, and fishing. There are several First Nations communities in the area and Christian Camp ministry nearby.

We are looking for someone who is true to the Word of God and has a passion to develop disciples of Jesus Christ through solid biblical teaching and preaching. The successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for the Word of God and prayer
  • Exercise pastoral care of the congregation
  • Preach the Word, will lead weekly Bible study and prayer meetings, and oversee the planning of worship services
  • lead the ordinances of communion and baptism
  • officiate other services such as funerals and weddings
  • provide oversight of visitation and assist in emergency visitation (hospital, home illness)
  • provide leadership, support, and mentoring to the church leadership and leadership teams to assist them in the carrying out of their assigned tasks.
  • represent the church in the community
  • interact with other pastors of the Manitoba Baptist Association

We are part of the Manitoba Baptist Association of the North American Baptist Conference. As such, the candidate must adhere to the NAB statement of beliefs and the NAB ministerial code of ethics. They must also be available to be credentialed by the NAB upon request.

Salaries and benefits are in line with NAB guidelines.The church is willing to allow part time work to supplement income if necessary with reduced ministry obligations. Additional information about our church and community are available upon request.
