The weekend will be an exploration of how our churches can practically demonstrate the Good News of Jesus Christ by serving and ministering to the people in their communities. Rick Rusaw, co-author of The Externally Focused Church, will be our speaker for the weekend. Business will be kept to a minimum to allow Rick ample time to lead us in a journey of discovery and understanding in this critical area.

since 1991. During his years at LifeBridge, worship attendance has grown from 700 to over 3,000. As an "externally focused church," LifeBridge has become connected to the culture of its community by providing volunteer services for a wide variety of agencies. Rick has a passion for the church to be relevant to its culture and at the same time maintaining a high integrity for the message of the Gospel. He has spoken at a variety of minister’s conferences, retreats, and leadership seminars as well as seminars in the business world.
He serves on the board of directors for Christian Network International and Hope International University. He is also an on- air host for “Worship,” seen nightly on 80 PAX TV stations. Rich is also a driving force behind the new churchwide initiative, Living a Life On Loan.
He is co-author of The Externally Focused Church (Group Publishing, 2004) and Living a Life On Loan (Standard Publishing, 2007).
He and his wife Diane, both natives of New York, have three children, David, Eric, and Chelsea. Outside of his ministry and family time, Rick enjoys both water and snow skiing. He is also an avid fan of his kids sporting events.
